CLIENT STORY

"A few years ago I was stagnant and unhappy. I was in my 30s, overworked and the many hours of desk sitting was taking a toll on my physical stamina & body confidence. I'd taken group workout classes in my 20s (and even achieved some fitness milestones) but it had been years since I worked out. I wasn't even sure if I knew how to use the equipment properly.
On the day I made decision to call Brian, I was at a low point. I'd been invited on a hike with friends and declined because I was out of shape & I worried I'd hold them back or embarrass myself in some other way. My sedentary lifestyle was starting to negatively impact my health AND social life.
Despite having a pretty compelling reason, I was VERY nervous to call the bearded dude with the tattoos. He came highly recommended by friends but I worried he would work me too hard or judge me for being out of shape. I knew I couldn't let things get any worse so I took the risk and called him. Upon chatting with Brian, I was immediately put at ease by his encouraging and friendly demeanor. At our first session, he listened to my goals, slowly demonstrated each exercise & explained the rationale for each one. He was abundantly kind, patient and even expressed how proud he was of me for just showing up.
I did semi-private sessions with a friend for the first 3 months of training and then transitioned to small group training with 6 other women. The encouragement, friendship and motivation from my small group really catapulted my progress.
Training with Brian brought me so much more than a proper squat and bench press. In my time benefitting from his belief in me, I transformed from an anxious public speaker to an effective one, an exhausted and burnt out health care worker to an energetic change motivator, a nervous money handler to a girl with zero debt and a social hermit to an engaged and encouraging friend.
He changed my body & my life because he saw strong in me when few others did and THAT made all impossible things possible for me. I'm forever grateful for his patience, wisdom and friendship."

WE HEARD YOU HAVE QUESTIONS
Good! We have answers.
I'm Interested in personal training but I'm not athletic. IS that okay?
YES! We love working with all levels of fitness learner and most especially beginners. Beginners typically have not had the opportunity to form poor habits of posture/form and can learn correct and safe methods from the start. Ultimately, the gym is for everyone! YOU DO NOT NEED athleticism to start working with us. All you need is an interest in self improvement and we'll give you the skills, terminology etc.
I have some injuries/pain that I need to be careful of. is it safe for me to train with you?
We will discuss any injuries or physical concerns during your introductory phone call and at your first training session. Accommodations and modifications can made for most injuries so that you can workout safely and still meet your fitness goals.

For women, we recommend
1. Leggings or athletic shorts
2. Athletic t-shirt or tank (cotton or moisture wicking material)
3. Athletic sneaker with low rise socks
4. Sports Bra, if preferred, for your comfort
We recommend wearing clothes that allow for free range of movement.

Will I learn what's needed to do solo gym workouts on days I'm not working with a trainer?
Yes! Our goal is not just for our clients to change their physical stamina or physique, it's also for them to develop knowledge of, and confidence in, the fitness methods they're learning.
